MOSQUE at GROUND ZERO

Hallowed Ground

Religious Freedom

Tolerance

Slap in the Face

Terrorists

These are the terms flying around when it comes to allowing, or not allowing, Muslims to build a Mosque near the site of the twin tower site in New York City

They're all wrong

These people are deceived

Like it or not, this country was founded on

Religious Freedom for only one religion

Christianity

That's right

Not Jews

Not Muslims

Not Hindus

Not Atheists

Not Buddhists

or any other religion except

Christianity

"All the people of god within this Jurisdiction who are not in a church way, and be orthodox in Judgement, and not scandalous in life, shall have full libertie to gather themselves into a Church Estaite.  Provided they doe it in a Christian way, with due observation of the rules of Christ revealed in his word."
The Massachusetts Body of Liberties (1641)

This same document guarantees freedom of worship and doctrine in church, as long as it is

Christian

The Massachusetts 1780 Constitution declared that:

Article I. Any person chosen governor, lieutenant-governor, councillor, senator, or representative, and accepting the trust, shall, before he proceed to execute the duties of his place or office, make and subscribe the following declaration, viz:

"I, A.B., do declare that I believe the Christian religion, and have a firm persuasion of its truth; and that I am seized and possessed, in my own right, of the property required by the constitution, as one qualification for the office or place to which I am elected."

You could not be Governor of the State of Massachusetts unless you declared yourself to be

Christian

Connecticut copied the laws of Massachusetts in 1638 and stated they were going to:

"...enter into combination and confederation together, to meinteine and preserve the libberty and purity of the Gospell of our Lord Jesus, which we now profess, as also the discipline of the churches, which, according to the truth of the said Gospell, is now practised amongst us; as allso in our civil affaires to be guided and governed according to such lawes, rules, orders, and decrees, as shall bee made ordered, and decreed, as followeth:"

Their laws were made to preserve the liberty and purity of the Gospel of Christ

aka

Christianity

Delaware, in their state constitution, required this oath before taking any office in the state:

" I, A B. do profess faith in God the Father, and in Jesus Christ His only Son, and in the Holy Ghost, one God, blessed for evermore; and I do acknowledge the holy scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be given by divine inspiration." (article 22)

Yet that same document then stated:

"there shall be no establishment of any one religious sect in this State in preference to another; and no clergyman or preacher of the gospel, of any denomination, shall be capable of holding any civil once in this State, or of being a member of either of the branches of the legislature, while they continue in the exercise of the pastorial function." (article 29)

Were the Delaware legislators confused?

No!

They were ensuring that no Christian denomination would gain excessive power

Just like the Anglican Church had done in the "mother country"

Georgia

“The representatives shall be chosen out of the residents in each county…and they shall be of the Protestant religion.” (1777, Article VI)

North Carolina

“No person who shall deny the being of God, or the truth of the protestant religion, or the divine authority of the old or New Testaments, or who shall hold religious principles incompatible with the freedom and safety of the State, shall be capable of holding any office or place of trust or profit in the civil department within this State.” (1776)

South Carolina

First constitution, 1778, required people holding office to be of the Protestant religion.

Then they went even further.

XXXVIII:  That all persons and religious societies who acknowledge that there is one God, and a future state of rewards and punishments, and that God is publicly to be worshipped, shall be freely tolerated. The Christian Protestant religion shall be deemed, and is hereby constituted and declared to be, the established religion of this State. That all denominations of Christian Protestants in this State, demeaning themselves peaceably and faithfully, shall enjoy equal religious and civil privileges.

After then detailing how this privilege is to be allowed, the constitution then states:

1st. That there is one eternal God, and a future state of rewards and punishments.

2d. That God is publicly to be worshipped.

3d. That the Christian religion is the true religion

4th. That the holy scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are of divine inspiration, and are the rule of faith and practice.

5th. That it is lawful and the duty of every man being thereunto called by those that govern, to bear witness to the truth.

And that every inhabitant of this State, when called to make an appeal to God as a witness to truth, shall be permitted to do it in that way which is most agreeable to the dictates of his own conscience.

They then go on to protect the Christian worshippers from those who would disrupt, abuse or hinder them.

Hurrah for South Carolina!

Pennsylvania

“also profess to believe in Jesus Christ, the saviour of the world” and take the following oath: “I profess faith in God the Father and in Jesus Christ his eternal son, the true God, and in the Holy Spirit, one God blessed for evermore; and do acknowledge the Holy Scriptures of the Old and Newe Testament to be given by divine inspiration.” (705-06 act of the Pennsylvania legislature.)

“I do believe in one God, the Creator and Governor of the universe, the Rewarder of the good and the Punisher of the wicked; and I acknowledge the Scriptuers of the Old and New Testaments to be given by Divine inspiration.” (Constitution of 1776)

There's more in the other State Constitutions, but you get the idea

The Mayflower Compact

The Declaration of Independence

The Constitution

All are based on biblical principals and Christian themes

Today, ungodly people would have you believe that our country was founded on inclusive principles

It was

Inclusive, Christian, principles

The Muslims have no right to a mosque near ground zero because the Muslims have no right to our country

Head over to Saudi Arabia and try to build a Christian Church

You'd be arrested

Go to Israel and attempt to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ

You're spit upon

Muslims have a land of their own

It is called Iraq, Iran, Libya, Turkey, Egypt

among others

They can go home and build their mosque

Wake Up America!
